World Class Skills

Training providers who receive funding from the Learning and Skills Council can access support for TQS from the World Class Skills (WCS) programme.

The WCS programme is offered on behalf of the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and offers support to FE sector providers in the area of skills and employer responsiveness.

All the guidance given under the WCS programme is aimed at improving the way in which providers work with employers and so is appropriate to understanding and working towards the TQS. Through the programme, providers should be able to access support on any areas of the Standard which they may need direction on.

The WCS programme includes seminars, workshops and consultancy on a range of areas, such as organisation design and development, managing change, sales skills and funding and finance. It is fully subsidised.

More information on the programme and how to access this support can be found on the WCS website, which can be accessed here.
